Beauty on the slow boat

Taking a slow boat is a much do in Laos. We headed on a slow boat from Nong Kiew to Luang Prabang. We travels are both the Nam Ou River and the Mekong River. The views along the way were awesome.

 Village on the river bank

This was the first time I had worn a sweatshirt my entire trip. Being on the water in the early morning can be a little bit chilly.

Water Buffalo along the way. I was impressed how close I could get.

This was our slow boat. Not too fancy but it got us where we needed to go.

The views along the way were breath taking

Here is a taste of the boat experience and the scenery

We stopped at a really cool temple that was in a cave. There are over 4000 Buddhas in this cave.
