When in Rome...

Mar. 13 2012

Our Rome adventure was full of lots of sights. Rome is full many of Italy's main attractions. We did a ton of walking while were we there. One day we bought a train pass and planned to use it and only used it once and ended up walking pretty much all of Rome. All I can say is that our feet were in some serious pain, not the best plan we ever made. Below are the highlight of our adventures.

Where is the head?

We went to an Irish pub in Rome.
The drinks were great but the music was awful.

Spanish Steps

This man insisted on giving us flowers.
Of course then he wanted paid.
Obviously we gave them back.

Coliseum

Standing on something that was so old was awesome

A traditional legend of Trevi Fountain holds that if visitors throw a coin into the fountain, they are ensured a return to Rome. However we all made wishes, so we hope they come true. I think mine may have already come true. An estimated 3,000 Euros are thrown into the fountain each day. The money has been used to subsidize a supermarket for Rome's needy (how cool is that). However, there are regular attempts to steal coins from the fountain.

Our trip to the Italian beach in Ostia

I think I should count the number of beaches I have been to

Chill'n on the beach

The water was a bit chilly to go all the way in.

Cheers to a great trip in Italy
